I’m haunted, what can I say?

This is a weird one.

I’m writing this in a Gmail New Message box because I’m at work and don’t want to make it look like I’m slacking. I’m not. It’s a slow day.

I’m not even sure how to start today’s post. Initially I wanted to focus on the fact that the past two “relationships” I’ve been in have ended in ghosting, but I think this theme is far more complex than that.

English versus American Courtship

This past week elite dating app The League made its foray onto London’s social scene. The launch, appropriately titled The London Pre Games, involved a week of straight partying with two or three events a day. Although I wanted to go to them all, I just had time to check out the Shoreditch double decker bar crawl which was just as bonkers as it sounds.

Mind the App

I’m going to preface this post. Almost a year ago I wrote a non-fictional essay about an online dating binge I went on to tragic results. Needless to say, I learned my lesson and am more cautious than ever when meeting anyone online. Because I had ambitions to send this story out to American publications, I titled it Mind the App in homage to the great city of London:

That Time I Dated a Polyamorist

During my last online dating binge, I met a wide array of different guys. I tried not to be judgey and gave them all a chance, even when their lifestyles didn’t exactly match up with my own. One of my suitors was a Polyamorist. Although I went out with him more out of curiosity than genuine interest in a relationship, I discovered that not even he was entirely on board with his relationship choices.
